(Maybe it's not clear for everyojne that the statue is that of Lenin, "Father of Communism"...)

Maybe it's my Russian history class coming back but I like the end of an era portrayal in this. The horizontal statues also say death in a way.

I really like the tones and quality of this image.

Thank you all for commenting. The picture is taken in Romania, near Bucharest, in the back of a manor belonging to a historical Romanian leader from 16th century. This became the final resting place for Lenin statue since 1990.

And do the statues lie like this, or are they erected?
(I live in Budapest and our city was just as well packed with communist statuest to the brim just like Bucuresti. Now many of these statues are on display in a Statue Park not to forget them...)

It lies down horizontal, abandoned in the back of the manor. I think it's to heavy to be dumped at scrap metal. They removed all the communist/soviet symbols from Bucuresti and it became hard to find that kind of subjects for photos. Lucky us !

An all-fiver for me! Stunning! Congrats!
(Where was it taken? Poland?)
