This scrolled down very slowly for some reason, and it made a fair impact as the fish came into view. I'm finding the seaweed a bit distracting, and wish I could see more detail in the fish, but interesting shot nonetheless.

A dead fish, is this a surreal end, or the end of the fish? You went to the trouble of shooting it on the beach, you should have slipped a white plate under it...

Definitely the end. The shadow detracts from the impact of this image. You may have wanted to take it from a different angle so as not to have a shadow that is bigger than the subject of the image.

although one could make a case for "the long shadows at the end of the day", for me it is a distracting element

Thanks for the comments. I like id7's idea of the white plate. Unfortunately I was not carrying any china with me on this trip to the beach.
