I am struggling a bit to understand how this is meant to convey "the end", but it is a striking Shot. Is that blood, dirt or something else entirely on her face and shoulders?

ha thxs..
Craig - she had enough of my shoot concept.. stuff got in her eyes.. and she was done.. oh thats coffee grounds... heres what she looked like 10min earlier

It smells of drama, but I can't really see an end of something here. Those drops around the neck and shoulders might be blood?

I've seen the "before" pic - and still at a loss trying to find out the goal, but never mind :)

this is a disturbing portrait, and I'm having a difficult time interpreting the theme. Is this after a fight? Is that blood? is this staged? so many questions unanswered, so that makes it not obvious enough to me? I wish I knew.

no not staged at all.. she looked up from the sink and i snapped this shot.

That is hilarious. So that is just a "I could kill the photographer" look. Certaily evocative and enough to get everyone thinking!

Dunny,
and what exactly drove you to photograph that guy covered in coffe?

Congrats, Dunny. This dramatic image and all the comments remind me of something a famous photographer once said: "I like working with babies because they let you know exactly when the shoot is over." The End, indeed.

Fantastic tones. Priceless expression.

It's really interesting how my perception of this photo changed dramatically after you explained it.
At first I thought that was blood, too. I was trying to figure out if she'd been in an accident or something. Without any explanation, this photo brings up a lot of questions like that. (And all those questions end up being a reflection of the viewer's own thoughts and perspective.)
It's funny to find out that it was nothing more than her being tired of the session.
I appreciate you sharing the background story, but sometimes the mystery can be fun, too. (The concept of "mystery" is something that I think a lot about.)

A sad but very impactful shot. Excellent B&W choice.
