She looks more pensive than sad. At first, I was a little disturbed by this image; as if it was the end because her wrinkles look so deep, and, but it couldn't be that, could it ?

I love it as a portrait, but I don't see how this is about "The End." As any good portrait (which this is) I can read something into it. I could assume different things about this person, the day, or the life, but none is obvious by simply looking at the image. In my world, when someone is this thin, it usually means the end in the worst way.

Vernon, I'm a big fan of your images - but I don't get this one in light of the theme.
