Just for fun, I decided to go ahead and look up "serendipity" at Dictionary.com.

Here's the definition:

"The faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident"

Making fortunate discoveries by accident...hmmmmmmm. That sounds an awful lot like "luck" to me ;)

If these two concepts are different from each other, the nuance is so subtle that I have a really hard time agreeing with the statement "it may have been luck, but that's not serendipity". In fact they are so close that if you were to ask most people "what's serendipity" I bet 9 out of 10 of them would answer "luck".

You might disagree with me, but one thing I think we can all agree on is that it is nearly impossible to determine "relevance" for the current theme. Pretty much seems like any image that does a good job capturing a dynamic subject in a way that looks cool or compelling should score high on relevance.
