A word of explanation. This was taken a few years back at the National Gallery in London. I went to see the new paintings of the band, Blur by Julian Opie.

As I was preparing to take the picture a security man tapped me on the shoulder and told me I wasn't allowed to take photos. As he was talking I took the picture. The blurred woman was asolutely serendipitous.

About a week later, Damon Albarn, the band's singer and the one hidden by the blurred woman, announced he was leaving the band to form Gorillaz.

Again a great shot for the theme - a real moment - there's something in the composition that doesn't really work for me - might be the cropped woman in blue on the left ....

It's interesting the way the gave of the protraits seems to be on the camera while the crowd is focused on something else. It almost seems like the portrait images and the photographer are sharing a small moment.

Another angel that featured their people's faces might work better.
