The eyes almost look comical or unreal. Obviously they are not; just has that effect for some reason. Amazing eyes. Not much relevance for me, though.

Maybe it is decisive, but over all the photo doesn't work for me. The bird isn't large enough in the frame and it's blurry. Due to the owl's coloring, he blends into the background, undercutting impact.
