Congratulations on getting featured! While I like this image (though I'd have preferred a tighter crop to see more of the insect) I have to say that for me there's nothing relevant about it. To me, "decisive moment" says something about the trials and tribulations or humanity.

Just my personal opinion. Again, congrats on being featured!

George, thanks for your constructive criticism. I guess that my interpretation of the theme differs from yours - to me, "decisive moment" means that the image would have been boring or meaningless, had it been taken one second before or after it was actually taken. In other words, the choice of that exact moment is decisive in the way that it decides the whole "narrative" of the image, which would otherwise have been lost.

I know my image does not convey any "serious" story, but I like the way in which the bug looks out over the edge and almost seems to be deciding whether to take the leap or not. To me, this was a decisive moment - both in the life of the bug (not really, I know), and for me to take the picture.

That being said, I fully agree that the theme could also be interpreted as concerning the "decisive moments" in the life of a person or in the history of a people. I would be proud to have any shots of such important moments - but I haven't.
