Looks like an interesting place, but I'm straining to see it. Seems such a tight crop? Maybe to show it's relevance? For sure there's texture.

Beamer said 1107 days ago:

This is a very nice subject and quite relevant.

Many textures to look at and very interesting subject. I do like this shot but find it perhaps a little too dark? Good marks from me overall.

flipthom said 1107 days ago:

I love the texture of the tree and it looks as though there might be some great textures behind the tree on that wall too. However those don't jump out at me as much. Overall, very nice.

Intruiging image

I really like the subject matter and think it fits the theme very well. It's probably shaded there and you had no choice on lighting, but better lighting would have brought out the texture rather than the large amount of post-processing that was done. I like the shot, though.

What were you trying to show texture of? The tree or the wall?

VernonTrent said 1106 days ago:

@ana
full frame in medium format @80mm

@beamer
thx :-)

@lemmingstone
not too dark on my screen or print :-)

@flipthom
I hope I live long enough to photograph jumping trees or churches :-)) (just kidding)

@orangganjil
it was taken before nightfall, with available light from the street lamps. the amount of processing was exactly 22mins (b/w chemical filmprocessing)

@drdavidjones
to me is a complete image of an historical place with lots of textures and structures.
is up to you to decide where you want to look, tree or wall.

thanks @all,
have a good week :-))
