The grate is far too busy for me and is too distracting. It's almost headache inducing. :) The lighting is too harsh and I'd prefer that this be some sort of close-up shot of the bug. It looks like he's got some good texture, but I don't blame you for approaching that thing - it's nasty!

Those things are living, breathing textures. I like that it is moving towards the lower left corner. This adds a tension that suits the subject. Kind of like the tension I feel when crushing one with a shoe :) Good job
