Seems a little dark for my tastes.

orangganjil said 328 days ago:

Good attempt but it is too dark for me. I like the composition, though.

It's a lovely if somewhat underexposed shot - although that works stylistically. But I don't think there's enough texture here to make it relevant.

Ana said 328 days ago:

this is a very cool shot, but a close up on the rope would have made it more about texture.

JIMJIM said 328 days ago:

wish I could see a bit more of texture, but i like the mood here!

Beamer said 328 days ago:

Ok, no.... Where's the texture? What is here I can't see.... The image is poorly lit and most of it is out of focus.

Lange said 328 days ago:

Good attempt, but at least on my monitor, too dark to discern adequate detail.

romanodelbello said 328 days ago:

beamer: look at the rope for texture... out of focus, i disagree, it is just a low DoF (like your book picture you posted in "one half"...) done to only see the texture of the rope... just think a little bit more next time, please.

to others: thanks for your comment !)

The other people that you thanked so graciously said the same things about your image that I did. They just said it a little more politely than I did. I looked at you image a good 2 or 3 minutes before I typed anything. The "Ok, no..." was a result of pondering and then deciding ...no it doesn't work for me.
I am fairly new to this website, I have yet to have a feature, I have never taken offense at any comment by anyone about my images.
I just spent a few minutes looking thur you blog, it is quite nice. I would have scored your image www.romanodelbello.fr/photoblog/index.php?showimage=177 much higher in this theme than the one you posted. I believe it was taken on the same dock. I holds much more interest as a textural study.
In your dialog @ your entry in the Eyes theme you said: "Thanks to all, exciting to be criticized !" I guess it wasn't so exciting today.
Please feel free to comment on the rest of my submissions. BTW, the dog is getting a ride on a very hot Southern California day, I think it might qualify as "Help"
Well, anyway, cheers!!

I'm proud it doesn't work for you.
I am proud to make you understanding that you are the first, greetings, who maked me feeling bad.
'more politely' is the good expression... good thinking !) I was just disappointed by the way you criticized this poor amator picture who wasn't for me a big evolution fo our prefered art... A picture that was understood on my blog by a fiend who hSorry to be pretentious at your eyes. I have never posted my pictures, that will not make living me, to receive a critic that could hurt me. Critic is for me an occasion to improve my skills or the manner to explain my point of view, not another to be hurted. You guessed well, I don't cum when someone is not very polite with me, my name is not jesus christ and would never be. About your work, for me, the dog is just in a basket, the interpretation of 'help' is yours because you were here... The hot weather is not visible........is it ?!? I'll feel free more to not comment your next submissions. I hope you will improve because I didn't see others stuffs than a flat and automatic mode rookie work without any little bit sense of composition. Maybe you are good for taking photos of your family with burning flashes, so don't open your mouth on other skills you don't master...and understand.
Thank you for your gracious comment that is not my opinion. You are not my teacher, I'm not your pupil and I hope you felt the same feeling I felt with the free comments I did on your 'work' after the bad two or three minutes I took last morning to look at 'these'. BTW, see you never again.
