This just doesn't have the same feel as say the stadium seats image, nice effort though.

Very cool take on the theme. I love the fact that the entire photograph is made up of these....I'm guessing fence posts?

I'm conflicted.... Does a pattern create texture, well yes, but at this degree of frequency/zoom, not sure. The pickets are definitely textural, you could have zoomed in and gotten some really nice detail of the texture of the wood, OR you could show many more of the pickets, making the detail and texture come from the frequency or "fineness" of the pattern.??? but as I say I am conflicted...High rating overall..

I like the idea, and I've seen other similar shots work as "texture" shots, but this one isn't quite abstract enough for the posts to come out as an abstract texture, and isn't close enough to show the real texture. Because I'm not blown away by any texture, I feel like the picture is missing something to draw my attention.

this is what I was talking about with the pattern becoming a texture when the frequency is higher.
