it's the texture of a stone.
this is a close-up shot, the diameter of the "flower object" (it's rather a snowflake for me :) was about 2-3mm.

Looks somewhat like a tree stump with mold growing on it. Not sure of the colors though.

This is really pretty and although I'm not sure what I am looking at, I like it. The flow of the colors and the unexpected element in it adds interest to this shot. It is graceful and flowing although I'm not sure if that really conveys texture. It is none the less a stunning image. I would love to know more about it.

I though it might be a cross section slice of a geode with a fossil inside with light shining through it. Very interesting indeed.
