Your subject really gets lost here. There is so much of this that you could have gotten close to and really brought out the theme.... Great subject, poor composition.

this would be more about texture if it were a closer shot of the rust? I do like the long photo on the page, though. looks good.

I think I would have zeroed in on a small section of the rusted train car to focus on the texture. The image looks a bit soft to me.

I would've been all up in that rail car. Climbing around, investigating. It looks like there's some really cool decaying patterns and I would like to have seen more of them up close.

For me, this would be an excellent image of texture if it were a little less under exposed. To me, the texture is dissipated by the lack of (limited amount of) light.

Loads of texture in that rail car, but it's very soft and moving in closer to focus on one of the many parts of the car's textures would have been much better. Also the lighting is a bit flat to back lit which contributes to the flat feeling of this image.

I know that there are great textures there but not in this composition or image. You need to get closer for a theme like this, for example a shot of the gravel, 2 railroad tie ends and the track would have had great texture and more impact.
