Lizards, lizards and more lizards.... This is fine for the theme, a little too tightly cropped for my taste.

The mouth and nose are lost - maybe another background would have been better?

Wow, what a cool looking creature. Very intense. Nice textures to be sure. The DOF is a little shallow I would love for the tip of his nose to be sharper. But still a good one.

I wish there just a tad bit more room at the top but otherwise, very dramatic and very well done.

Thanks everyone. Tracy and I were at the San Mateo County Fair a few weeks ago. This iguana was in a mesh cage and lite by only a low wattage tungsten bulb. Very, very low light conditions. So I placed my lens as close to the mesh as I could to eliminate the mesh from the shot and got this one.
The crop is very tight and I wrestled with the composition. The dof is as deep as I could go given the lighting and I too would have like it a bit deeper. Shot this at f/2.2 ISO 640 with a shutter speed of 1/250 as the bugger was moving around quite a bit. Guess he didn't realize he was going to be on the Web!
Thanks again for the great feedback, it's always appreciated much more than the ratings.

a bit close on the nose end, but this is fantastic and totally relevant.
