Texture of the rope and the tree. Nice. I am a bit distracted by the "Y" shaped twigs/branches that cut through the frame forward of the subject.

yeah, me too! that is my one regret of this shot! I was just thinking that if I could go back (flood plain) I'd move that stickin stick! :)

Lol...I know what you mean. I had a red mushroom shot that I took and there was all blades of grass stuck to it, so I started to carefully pick off the blades but it started to pull pieces of the mushroom off so I just gave up and shot it anyway. It came out nice...but it still bugs me that the grass is stuck on it.

I like the combination of textures here but I think the blurry stick is a bit distracting.

The texture and, therefore, the impact of this image would be greatly enhanced by more contrast, perhaps even a strong b&w conversion, IMHO.

Really busy, hard to decide what's what. Parts are too dark.

It's supposed to be a curious site...a tire and a log all covered in mud from the flooding. The tire and the tree seemed to be 'as one' when I saw it.
I thought it was a great way to show man-made and natural 'textures' that are similar!
