I'm not sure if this was your intention, but the picture seems very tense - probably due to the shallow depth of field and the unusual placement of the center of interest.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It seems the DOF was either a positive or a negative depending on who voted. Interesting. I personally felt it better highlighted the texture of the brick which is why I shot it that way.
