Good idea, pretty good attempt. The grain/noise and the contrast seem to take away from the message of "Soft". Like the DoF placement.

DOP bothers me but even the grainy nature of this says soft.

I wonder if colour would bring out the softness or take away from it..but it seems that this is b/w is taking from the apparent softness.
