This is the old west pier in Brighton England, where I went to college and spent most of the 90s. The beach is just off to the right (where I'm standing too obviously!). The pier was bombed during the war and never repaired. After several fires a few years ago it is now nothing but a burnt out shell unforntunately. Facing it, off to the left, there's a slightly newer pier which is fully working with bars and a fun park.

This was taken with a canon EOS and the scan sucks but the print looks good :)
