...it was an extremely foggy and dreary morning. The lack of brightness in this image accurately depicts what I saw. I was trying to relay the mood of the morning, which was creepy and dark...most certainly not bright by any stretch of the imagination. Thanks for the comments!

Brrr... Feels cold. That's the feeling I get more than silence - although there is a feeling of silence & contemplative thought in the shot as the footsteps wander out in every direction & into the abyss. Would have also been great if the contrast in the photo was a bit more so that the snow comes out more. But maybe it's my uncalibrated work monitor.
