Terrific shot. I really like this. Outside the context of this theme I'd be thinking "silenced" rather than "silence" which while on the surface may not appear much different I think there's a significant difference. Nonetheless, on its own merit I'm really liking this. The fingers appearing out of the dark are great. They almost seem glued to the face. The dof is wonderful, too, as is the side lighting.

Hi George, thanks for your great comment! You know, it's funny - I too see a significant difference between "Silence" and "Silenced". Actually, so much so that when I posted this shot on my photoblog last night, I titled it "Silenced". Is this where I make a comment such as "great minds think alike."? ;) Be well.
