Thats more of an instruction than a sign, just kidding :)

Political signs certainly can illicit emotional responses. I'll be interested to see how the ratings on this image are affected.

Many signs here. Good range of tones too.

one of the more powerful and interesting, so far.

And of course the first ratings can increase :-)... or decrease ... :-(

(There is not necessary a sign of my political opinion in this shot)

I know just where your frustrations lie, believe me! Most of my images struggle to make it to an overall score of 3 - and the most frustrating for me is when technique and quality are rated low with no comments about lack of quality or technique. Anyhow, for what it's worth I scored all 4's, which for me is about as high as I go unless the image is truly outstanding and has the "wow" factor. And while this image is very good, and I have no complaints with any aspect of it, it doesn't make me jump out of me seat and say "wow".

Really there's no frustration. I've just done the ratings because kadenajack was interested to see them. The second comment was just for fun. :-))

I'll drink to that! :)

Now that I've seen the ratings, they're interesting in their ordinariness. I would have expected them to be either higher or lower and not so much in the middle. Perhaps no one rated on the basis of the political tone, which would be a good thing. Also perhaps the Bush lovers and the Bush haters balanced each other out.

I don't care about the politics myself. As for the image ... I think the technique and quality are good, just as the ratings indicate. Certainly the image is relevant in a Signs theme. The image has no impact at all for me though. I'm sure it's a taste thing, but graffiti needs to be especially clever or artistic for me to notice or want to photograph it. The hand bills stuck on the wall while somewhat unique in their content look like the thousands of other such items we've all seen, usually promoting a local band.

One suggestion for improving the image would be to crop the right and the bottom and let that frame of concrete live by itself. The line on the right especially makes me feel as if another scene is jumping into my field of view and stealing some of the thunder from this one.

Wow, I can't believe I wrote so much about this image. I guess that means I considered it more than most and should have given it a higher impact score.

Hmm, what a message.

Here, for me, there are contradictories signs : a anti-Bush message of a maoist party, the cross of the fascist, and the "www" where we are for the moment
