I like the idea of this image and I enjoy the black and white color scheme... very appropriate for the subject matter. For me, the tight crop diminishes the impact the image could have, however. And, while I did not deduct from the score for this, I suspect some may not feel it fits the theme well. But, overall, very nice!

Hi Lange,

The reason I went with a tighter crop was actually because I was trying to keep this more relevant. I was going with the "signs of the times" example given in the theme description, so I wanted the numbers on the gas pump to be more clearly visible. (Take a look, it's surprising, as this gas pump is only about 40-50 years old!)

Not sure that I'd call this a sign. Display, counter, bowser, sure, but 'sign' is a bit of a stretch.
