could it be love?
zulu said 720 days ago:
in any case is not youth-free, but it is the sin lust.
zorilla said 720 days ago:
Is this a sin? I don't think so
King said 720 days ago:
It might be love, but lust is one of the seven deadly sins, and I think this is a pretty lusty image. It's not bestial or violent or rapacioius, but I think it's choc-full-o-lust.

personally, i think that sex (or lust) isn't really a sin, but i must stick to the theme and for that, i think youve done very well...
agi said 720 days ago:
Well no explanation needed for this one :)

wowzerz!

Sbuzz...I agree with you, and I'm having trouble with this theme for that and other reasons. I went to Wikipedia to see that exposition on the "Seven Deadly Sins." I've read Dante's Inferno and am well-familiar with his views on sin and sinners, and I prefer older definitions to the one's we use today. My own work, I find in browsing my archives, tends toward the virtues, but not from a religious perspective.
Thanks, all, for your comments.

Very literal, and a great mood to this shot. I like it.

There's clearly lust here, I just wish I could see it on her face.

Straight to the point.

Well done, but I am not sure if the soft focus (or lack of focus) is a help or a hinderance in this case.

Too much photoshop, kills impact
King said 720 days ago:
@rocksunderwater
...but do you like *anything* about the image?
Regarding your terse expression of opinion: there is a considerable amount of photoshop, but I don't think it kills the impact. If you were to see the original, you would see that the work I did on the image improves the impact considerably.
This is a close crop of a much larger image from my archives. The woman's face is cropped not to hide her identity, but because the lighting on her face and her rather passive expression simply didn't contribute to the "lust" theme.
To speak to your point from a self-critical perspective, I think the Photoshop work could have been much better done if I had been willing to take the time necessary to do so. It may be a case of too little photoshop, poorly done.

I think the Photoshop work actually adds impact, here. The softness perfectly fits the idea and the crop of the girl's face adds a feeling of intimacy and sensuality and a dynamic effect.
Someday we'll have to discuss if we're allowed to use Photoshop or not. If this picture is not featured because it is "too much photoshopped", I think it's the worst reason. Do you like the result or not? Enough purism!
