I like everything about the photo, except the selective color. If you are the subject of the photo, why are the wires colored? It draws the eye away...

clever use of details in the background; they're supposed to convey info about your personality, right? like it.

Wonderful geek shot.

I like the selective desaturation. It adds to the image and instead of taking the focus off of your face, makes me focus more - which is odd but very effective!

I really like how the frame cuts off a large part of the head/face, but that you still get a great sense of who this guy is. Also, the selective coloring of the networking cables in the background is awesome IMHO. I would have like to see this rotated so that the vertical edge of the rack in the background was parallel to the edge of the frame though.

Excellent use of selective colour.

The selective coloring gives it a bit of edge to it- defines the background a bit. Works well.

So many ways I like about this and get a very definite 'this is me' feel but maybe center face crop and straighten the background might have pushed it up.

Very good. It says a lot about you - both in terms of the background, and the particular processing of the image.

I really love you highlighting those colored patch cables in the back.

Thanks for all the comments, hadn't noticed the non-vertical lines before, but now it's been mentioned, it bugs me too!!

Love the colors, and it says much (maybe) about what you do and deal with in your daily life...no?
