I like the shadows.

Wonderfully cinematic.

Good. However, the area just above the ear seems noisy. It's a minor point, as it doesn't really distract from the image that much. Nonetheless, think about bringing out whatever detail is there, or making it disappear into the black.

this image has a real dreamy, detached quality. of someone daydreaming, or perhaps doesn't want to reveal too much in a self-portrait. the blinds reflected in your glasses are very cool as are the shadows across your face.

there's a fair bit of ambiguity in this image. i imagine that's intentional. for me, the focus of that relates to the gender of the subject. certain aspects lead me to think you're a female (eyelashes and facial expression perhaps?) while other aspects suggest male (short hair, facial hair?).

i don't understand the thin diagonal line above your head. looks like a spider's web, but isn't clear. could be a scratch? i'm not crazy about the framing / cropping. the blackness on the right and top aren't supporting the image particularly well. they do create an unbalanced, awkward feeling, but it doesn't really work as well as it could with the face, which is only slightly cropped. it seems like you should cut into it or stay out, especially given all the space on the opposite side.

this is a good self-portrait with some unique quirks and a real sense of style.
