The suggestion here is that you're asleep on a train. But it's just a suggestion, as there's also the feeling that you're shy and turning away from the camera. If "asleep on a train" is what you were going for (as if to say, "this is how I spend a lot of my time: commuting"), I think a more direct approach would be stronger. Then again, I could be totally wrong, which wouldn't be the first time :)

Doesn't give out much from you, but well, that's your choice. The shallow level of depth works well, just I might've cropped the light at the top-left corner differently - or probably tried to get it out of the image, it catches the attention a bit unnecessarily for me.

...showin off the shave? :) It's cool, I'm guessing you're looking at something interesting, or away from the camera like I get from so some of my photophobic friends.

I get the feeling that photographers don't like to show their eyes or entire face. I'd would have preferred a softer or blurred background, maybe a tighter crop.

Were you sleeping and this was a happy accident or are you pretending? The focus is great on this, especially given that you're not able to see how it looks.

Is this a self portrait or just a picture of you?

It's like you surprised yourself and reacted by looking away!

Ok, the reason I took this picture was because my wife suggested I try and capture the angle from which my two toddlers see me. In this case I tried a number of different angles, but ultimately decided this is how I usually feel: looking around to gauge threats and opportunities. Most of the time I seem to look down only to say "No, take that out of your mouth."
