Nice lighting and I enjoy how the framing is so far to the left

So many photographers choose only to show a little of themselves in a wide frame. I'm glad I'm not the only person who would rather be behind the lens than in front of it. I can relate to your approach.

Lots of impact here- great use of negative space. The face & eyes and (most important to the effect) the hair has been placed just perfectly. I believe it is the hair that makes it such a sensual portrait.

The lighting looks very nice, much like late evening window light. With that said, I'd worry a bit about it being a bit too yellowish/red on the skin tones but that's a personal thing and it doesn't bother me so much that it takes much away from it.

A very strong self portrait, very nice.

I love the composition and lighting of this shot

i really like this image. in part the composition is quite striking. in part, your face is quite beautiful. i love how your hair creates a play of shadows upon your face. the cropping of your head down the center is bold and powerful. the black background is also powerful, setting the colors and lighting of your face off even more boldly.

i'm not sure if the horizontal width of the image is justified or necessary. its possible that reducing the dimension of the black area at the right could put more emphasis on your face, colors, light, contrasts, etc. as it is, the black is perhaps a little too overwhelming. if the image were printed quite large and in a gallery (say 36" to 48" wide), then i'd say keep in just as it is. the proportions are of a billboard or wide-screen tv. with a smaller format, i think the width is exaggerated.

i think this is a beautiful self-portrait. good work!
