Way out! I really like the code all over your face. Taht's probably who we programers would look if what we do affectred how we look.

i dig it!!!

Looking at the thumbnail I thought you had projected light onto your face to create the effect, but now I see it's just text overlaid on the image. Disappointing. I like the concept, but not the execution.

If you had actually printed the characters on cardboard, cut them out, then projected the light on your face, it could have been a very interesting image. The light would curve around your nose, forehead, mouth, cheeks, etc. As it stands the text isn't "interacting" with your face at all... it's just sitting on top of it.

i can so relate to your expression and the sea of html. both definitely say alot about you.

I really like the concept - I think that the edges of the words have been oversharpened - perhaps if the text was added as a softer layer then the image itself would be okay.

The only critique I could offer would be maybe a choice of a smaller font and more text? That would make it a little more subtle and perhaps reveal a bit more of the pattern that comes from writing code.

ArneG: I agree, I should have softened the text a little more.

lbstone: I actually thought about the idea that you suggested, but I was going for a different perspective. I interact with dozens of people each week that I've never seen. The see me only through the pictures I post. They see where I travel, what I eat, who I love, but only through 'screen' of my photoblog. So I was trying to convey the idea of someone seeing me through my photoblog (so I copied the html from my template). I like you're idea as well, but I think it conveys a different interaction with the text (I would have picked different texts with that approach, ones more constitutive of my existence). Maybe the image I posted didn't quite get that effect, but it was the best I could come up with the dead line looming.

Not being defensive, just explaining.
