Extraordinary! At one with nature and a clear vision I love what this seems to stand for and its execution.

Stunning image, love the tonal range and choice of colour. The combo of face and leaves is spot on and the focus and detail on the eye is beautifull.

The only problem I see with the image is I think the composition is a little off, with the main element, the eye, being a touch too much to the left and there is a couple of spots that need retouching.

Apart from that, a very impressive image.

I love how you handled the eye as well as how the image is composed.

I want to thank each of you who took the time to rate and comment on this image; I appreciate it. This was one of those images that I went back and forth on...wasn't sure whether to post it or not. Glad I did. Lorissa, I'll email you about how I created this. Thanks, everyone!

Wow, Diane, an absolutely stunning self-portrait! That light shining on your eye and the bit of color of your iris is outstanding. The desaturated toning is gorgeous too. Did you overlap two different exposures to add the leaves and branches? And how in the world did you ever get such a sharp close-up? I find self-portraits the most difficult and frustrating to accomplish well, especially when focused this close.

By the way, the photo on your homepage right now, of the spider web, is another beauty. The light and composition are fantastic!
