This looks like psychodudu. Hope I'm not mistaken. I like the thumbnail even more than the full size version. The fun in this shot comes through really well. Overall high marks.

Well I was wrong on who it is. But now I can put a face to The Salami Kid!!!

I like noise on this shot.

I like this "rough" feeling of this shot.
I don't really need a crisp image... it's crisp in my brain. nice expression though.

high marks from me because I'm a "grain-junkie" :-)

I've seen this one before too... :o)
I think the choice of the situation is interesting. Do you have an explanation?

AbsolutelyN said 457 days ago:

I love the grain and softness of this image. It works well for me.

Montage said 457 days ago:

Something different. Something a little fun. I like it.

We have some handsome people at W.S., don't we? Here's another one. You know, remove the shaving soap and the razor from your hand and this would still be a good portrait. Can we assume you are actually standing at your sink, such that the light is coming from high front? To me, the lighting is the weakest part of this photo. If you could have added some light to the background, that would give this the sense of depth that is needs.

Gosh, you are mighty young to like eggplant so much.

Thanks for the nice comments, all.
@George...there's no mistaking the Salami Kid!
@Vern...I love grain too!
@Phillipe...I submitted this image to Vazaar originally. The theme was, "Self portrait with an edge," so yes...
@Montage...it was all in fun
@King...Yes, I was actually shaving, standing at my sink, front lit, and I took the photo with my left hand from a slightly lower angle. And, actually, I drastically burned in the background because I thought it would be a stronger image that way...go figure!
Speaking of taking the photo myself, I wonder how many of the "self portraits" here were taken by the photographer him/herself. Not that it really matters, but I like the idea of a self portrait that is, well, self taken.
