Nice! I am glad to see you ditched the bottle for a more wholesome take on yourself, lol. But upon closer inspection, you seem to be in the snow, and yoga in the snow just doesn't seem conducive to peace of mind to me!

My only quibble with the shot (a small one - overall I think it is a great shot of you) is that the grass sticking through the snow is distracting - I know you want some of it, to show that it is snow, but at the same time it is still distracting.

Craig, what the heck do you think made me want to go shoot this in the snow in the first place - after a bottle I do foolish things. ;-)

I took this in the middle of the woods and made the decision to remove the most of the background and had a little help with the cropping but felt that the grass gave it that little bit of depth that the image needed. Oh, Yeah I froze my but off.

I personally think the grass helped the depth, it's what held my attention to this to make me take time to study this seriously.

Yes, I agree that the grass helps give it depth and context - I guess what I think makes it somewhat distracting is that it is at the edge of the frame and cropped out. I think if it could have been completely in the frame it would have been better (but again, these are very minor quibbles).

Looking at it again, I like the tone you have provided. Is this a duotone finish?

Damn, that is snow! I was wondering about that..if I do take it up, I don't think I'll be out communing with nature quite like that until I manage to "om" myself to a cold proof posterior ;)

Yes it was really snow, but I cheated and was sitting on a couple of white towels. ;-)

Shooting white and black is so very tough. Nice exposure and it looks as if you're floating on air. Your butt must be cold!

Thought you might like that King. I have to admit that I am a fraud though, I have never done yoga in my life, and I sure wasn't going to be meditating out there.

Lovely and serene! You pulled it off way better than I, but then again you are meditating, or supposed to be(do you really do this with your eyes open?). My only qualm is with the twig things in the lower left and back right, to me they are distracting. But otherwise a beautiful self portrait Tracy.
