This has a stark and lonely look to it. However, given the outfit, my guess is that you were out running either early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Do you usually carry a camera and tripod while running? :>)

while I like the dramatic qualities induced by the processing, it is a bit overdone for my taste. If there were something actually going on in the photo, instead of a static subject...something that would play to the dramatic quality of the tones...that would be good, I think.

Thanks for the comments. I wasn't out running when I took this (I'm wearing jeans and a sweater :P), but I am def. a runner. Good call ana. A nearby picnic table served as my tripod.

I actually like that there isn't "something going on" in the photo. It makes me see the person as perhaps solitary, wanting to be alone and see the world with a single pair of eyes.

for my 2 cents' worht, I think this would be a better *portrait* if the subject were a little closer - it is hard to really make out the expression on the face.
