First, I like this photograph--quite a bit, actually. High marks, in general.

Why wouldn't this shot be equally effective without the tilt? This has a very slight infra-red look to it...did you use a red filter? or the Red Channel in Photoshop? Shot on film?

Thanks all. King - yes this is shot on Kodak HIE infra-red film with a 25 red filter. The tilt was unavoidable because this tree is on a very steep slope. I think it also helps the composition by adding strong diagonals.
