Hey George, I saw this one over at V and like it quite a bit, my only comment would be to raise the focal point of the blur tool just a nudge or expand it.

It's so funny to see this shot so soon after the howling one. :-)

Never would have guessed its the same George as in the link above from King. I always thought this portrait reminded me of an album cover of Lou Reed or Lindsay Buckingham.

The backstory: I had been thinking of doing a self-portrait for the "In Your Face" theme over at Vazaar. One evening my kids and I were in the backyard playing tag. The sun went down, it got dark, and when we came in the general idea for this image coalesced in my mind after I noticed my sweaty reflection. So I quickly got out the camera/tripod, stood in front of the shower curtain and took a couple of shots. Then in Picasa I added the colored tint and the soft focus effect.

By the way, King, express away!! ;-)

@mtmartini: I think you're right about the in focus area. Picasa is a fairly crude tool, however, so it was a trade off between keeping my chin/mouth/nose in focus while also keeping the shower curtain out of focus.
