Hi thanks. I rarely shoot photos of people, let alone of MYSELF!

I always feel like self-portraits (by me and others) in most cases end up looking really contrived or posed, and I am not usually comfortable with the ones I have done. In this case, I found some place where the composition would be good, and then put my camera on "interval" mode and had it shoot series of 20 shots spaced 10 seconds apart, and then I just sort of casually stood around in the frame and let the camera fire away. Then I picked this shot because I thought it looked the most "natural".

All of the ones with me looking straight at the camera seemed weird and IMHO "didn't look the me".

Funny, after looking at this totally unposed shot, it seems like it is uber-posed and contrived...like what some self-absorbed musician would put on their album cover when they are trying to look cool ;)

So I have done another self-portrait that is about as un-cool as you could possibly imagine to make up for this one ;)
