I like the shot. It does have impact and it is a portrait. For me the protrait should have been more central on the tree behind, and maybe slightly more transparent, so that it crept out rather than jumping

Mark, this is an interesting shot...and unique. Brings to mind Obi-Wan Kenobi, perhaps because of the hood. Definitely a lot of mystery. Great work.

That's funny....I too immediately thought "Obi-Wan Kenobi". Knowing you Mark, I bet you did this in the field using a long exposure plus quick flash technique rather than some fancy post processing...which IMHO makes it more cool.

No disrespect to the post-processing gurus out there...I just think it's cool when you can use an in-the-field technique to accomplish in a few seconds, what would take several minutes and alot of work on a computer at a later time.

Fellas, this was indeed done in the field and not post processing. I'm not good enough in Photoshop to do this! I did it at the same time as my Long Exposure hallway image and decided on that one for the particular theme. This one is actually 'three' of me, but I cropped all but one for Self Portrait.
