The tight crop works well here but the most interesting element in the picture, the eyes are way too much at the top. Low DOF has been used effectively and the post processing really induces a certain mood into it.

Yes, there's something woeful about the expression. It really touches me. I like the framing; the eyes don't feel too high at the top. Great shot.

Of all the shots that I looked at, this one seemed to draw me in. I guess it's the eyes. It's the focus on the eyes and the way the lighting falls on the face.
