Its a nice self-portrait but I find the framing a little too tight. Also the bokeh appears as small distracting discs. It does succeed to an extent in bringing out the character of the subject.

self portrait, yes. but it's not different enough for any other one here (and what I assume is your other one, to make it stand out and have much impact. so mostly good scores, but the imapct isn't as high.

Ana! Just joking! No need to apologize! For me, photography is more about fun, experimentation, play, fiddling and less about perfect results. I learn something new everyday.

I like this simple, staightforward self-portrait. It's difficult to comment on because you and I share a lot of features--glasses, full beard, mature. Ah, now I see...it's a brilliant photograph of an honest, sincere and straightforward person.

I think this is the same person as the color image with the blueish cast. This one is nice, but not as striking as the blueish one.
