This appears to be a photo of a fan, with a person partially hidden behind it. Don't be afraid to get close to yourself. I like seeing the hand that holds the fan. Could you devise a way to get your hand closer to your face and reduce the amount of fan you are showing? I see the fan and the bamboo sticks in the hair. The knitted top doesn't seem to fit, but maybe I can't see enough of it to make out the oriental pattern.

Interesting choice. For me, the quality of the image seems a bit low. For example, it could be sharper...or blurrier? But it's in a middle zone that I'm finding neither here nor there.

I'm just sitting here getting in some last minture ratings when the time ran out and the new theme started. So I see who shot this - way to go and push yourself out of anonymity Roberta! Right itnot quasi-anonymity ;-)

I have to agree with some of the other commentators though - there's some kind of odd effect that distracts from the image. Try a sepia treatment instead.
