There's some selective focus here, and it's a good action shot.

If I had to bet money though, my bet would be that selective focus is a secondoary effect of your having to shoot using telephoto and a large aperture given the conditions, rather than being the result of specifically choosing "selective focus" as a compositional technique. Still, it's relevant.
