i like this, i do wish there was another element to it like a person coming around the bend, i think that would really have added to it. I really really like the area, but i think it does need that extra something in it

I really like the overall composition of this,especially the converging lines. A minor clockwise rotation might improve it (i.e. it would get the vertical lines perpendicular to the frame).

Perhaps it's a symptom of the resizing for this venue, but there seems to be some really pronounced noise or compression artifacts all over the right hand side. Normally noise doesn't bug me, but in a selective focus image where you are going for one clear and sharp area, and another smooth creamy blown-out area, I'm finding the noise detrimental to what would IMHO otherwise be a stellar image..
