very nice macro, i'm suprised you could get so close without him moving.

It looks to me like the eyes are out of focus (in fact most of the damesl fly is out of focus) The blade of grass near its tail looks the sharpest point to me.
I photograph these a lot, so I know how difficult it can be, you probably need a slightly smaller aperture and take a few shots at the same time, just breathing can throw these out of focus.
