I like the tones and composition of this image.
Relevance 5
Impact 3 - I find that the impact of this image is average, perhaps because the DOF is too deep and the backgroud subject matter too cluttered.
Composition 4 - For what you've shot, the composition is above average.
Technique 3 There is nothing in this image that speaks to technique that is above average.
Image Quality 3 as there is nothing in the image that I would consider above average.
If you're wondering why I am placing the ratings in the comments, it's because I disagree with WS's rating system. Also, if you don't get enough ratings to see yours, I want you to see mine along with the reasons why. I believe that raters should be accountable for their ratings, not just their comments and the author shouild be able to see ratings no matter how few are left.

Beyond weird.

I debated doing a faked DOF shot for this, and I still may because I really like these kinds of shots. I think they work better with more of a looking down composition than this shot, but you've accomplished just the right amount of falloff, which can be difficult to achieve.

Hot shot!!

Yes there is selective focus here....not sure that it really adds to the impact of the shot that much to me. I guess the eye does focus more on the sign as a result but I feel it would have done that anyway due to the dominant colour.

looks photoshopped?

I like this, and it is very amusing. The selective focus is good, but my attention gets drawn away from the focal point to search the rest of the image too much. Maybe a tighter crop.

In defense of photoshopped images for this theme, not all of us can afford lenses/cameras that can achieve the razor thin DOF that many of these shots have. It's a matter of affordability, so I will not hold that against anyone as long as they make their point effectively.

I like this image. I have a feeling that others might like to see a shallower depth of field. But it's shallow enough that the relevance is there, and just right for the impact that I think you intended.
