Pretty colors, but for me it was distracting to have the BIRD be out of focus and one layer of GRASS be in focus. It was surprising and odd. Perhaps I am too much a traditionalist though... it may be a new way of looking at things.

There is definitely selective focus at work here, but it looks almost like it was accidental. I can see how it is abstract ot have the bird out of focus and hard to get a handle on. However, having the patch of grass in focus - but not the bird - doesn't work for me. It seems too contrived and forced. Also, consider cropping the top (the background) as it adds nothing to this shot.
