Beautiful. Very surreal. I struggle with the relevance too. Is it the sky and the ocean or the two landforms jutting out?

This is a lovely scene and a nice, subtle interpretation of the double theme. Reminds me of one of the those inspirational posters. Seems like it should say "Peace" or "Inspire" or something along those lines.

this is a gorgeous shot, but outside the theme, I can't say I'd make much notice to anything being double here.

Thanks everyone. Relevance is in the mind of the viewer - this is simply a more subtle interpretation of the theme than the in your face images.

High on impact and technique etc. but not very relevant in my opinion. I see what you're going for, but it doesn't really do it for me. Aside from that, its a beautiful shot!

I fail to see the relevance here (is it because the two rocks look similar? or something entirely different) but what a gorgeous shot! I'm guessing grey ND filter?

Thanks everyone, I'm a bit baffled as to why so many people see this as completely outside the theme but at least a couple of people got it.

nattfodd: taken before sunrise, a ND grad was used to darken the sky a little.

I didn't say I didn't SEE where you were going, but that outside this theme, the word "double" or "similar" wouldn't be used to describe this shot.
Beautiful, amazing, great shore line, fantastic rock formations, wonderful sky, smooth water....
...... but not "double" anything.
