I see you seeing you. Something fuzzy on that left side?

nattfodd said 309 days ago:

Not really relevant, but what a gorgeous shot! Brilliantly realized.

pete said 309 days ago:

well.. its two people, two drunk people, err..two hands... i think that's it

pete said 309 days ago:

@ana. left of the lens, or left of the photo?

all the white is just out of focus background, but, i dunno, i wanted it to counterbalance the dark face.

Ana said 309 days ago:

the hair? looks sort of fuzzy/blown.
so is the 'lens' what is double? lens in a lens?

pete said 309 days ago:

see, there are lots of doubles..

when i posted it, i thought of it as "someone seeing their own reflection", surely that is 'seeing double'?

King said 309 days ago:

Two lenses? This is a strange photograph. I think this is a combination of two photographs. I don't mind that, but it seems odd to me.

Please explain why with such an apparent shallow depth of field--based on the face of the person wearing the glasses--the person being reflected is pretty much sharp? Or maybe the question should be asked the other way around.

After all, the reflection is a virtual image and would have a point of focus the same distance from the camera lens as it would have if not reflected.

I'm confused--which is a feeling I'm used to these days.

Wicked interpretation of the them. Very well executed.

uvikidd said 309 days ago:

not to much double for me :) .. but good shot anyway

JIMJIM said 309 days ago:

Nice spot ;-)

Beamer said 309 days ago:

Despite a seeming lack of relevance, I love the imagination in this. I wish the left wasn't so blown out. Everywhere else, the tonal range and values are great.

pete said 309 days ago:

@King.. this is one photo, honest :) i cant explain how it worked, it just did :)

@mar00ned. thanks alot :D

@ everyone else.. i tried :) over all rating of 2.9... typical for me im afraid

@pete...I don't doubt that it's a single photo, but it just looks strange to me and I'm the curious type. What was the focal length of the lens you used (in terms of equivalent full-frame 35mm slr, please) and about how far from the subject was the lens?
