yes, this works! I wish I could see a bit more of the surroundings, but nice shot!

Interesting capture. Relevant, too. I'm curious as to the background info. At first glance, it looks like Mary and Joseph. But Joseph is wearing glasses?
pete said 307 days ago:
@flipthom. when i was hiking in Poland this summer, we saw lots of nuns, also hiking. im assuming this is a shot of that.
flipthom said 307 days ago:
Nuns hiking! Now THAT is cool. Thanks Pete.

Oh, if the camera could only be 3 feet higher...then we could see the other face better, probably not possible and still keep the profile angle. Great shot anyway, great subject.

Very nice. High marks. Now maybe you needed to shoot this quickly, and I probably would have gotten off a shot, then moved about six inches to the right, if possible, to get a shot where the nun's elbow was not tangent with the tree trunk. A minor thing, but I think it would enhance this image.

i shoot this at devils lake state park in wisconsin, i had no time to take a photo from a different angle cause these nuns where about to have a service up there so i had to do it quickly befor they would see me.
but thanks for your comments

So, I have a question guy and gals: when you are out and about and shoot something like this where somebody's face is recognizable, do you get a clearance, do you ask permission to put the image on the internet, etc.? I have a bunch of stuff like that and have never know whether I should post it or not. My post of the street musician in the last Theme is a good example of what I'm talking about here.

@beamer. i dont take take many photos of people, but those i do, i dont ask permission for. if i was making money off my photos i might.
its just one of the hazards of being a pedestrian ;)
