Very nice subject. I would have framed this a little more to the left to pull the Wash. Monument a little more into frame. The right edge of frame could have been just to the right to exclude the pathway.
This is a very powerful place for photography. My brother is buried there in one of the newer sections. I visit as often as I can being as I live in California.

I went back and forth on the composition of this one, so I'll be interested to see what people say. I wanted the "subject" (being two things) to weight the left side of the frame...however that places the one monument RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE.... and other off to the side. In the end, this looked best to me....
Like I said, can't wait to hear what others think about that.

manipulate? how? I converted it to black and white and did some contrast adjustment.

Took me a moment to work out the double in this shot - but once I saw it, it made the impact of the shot higher for me! Intriguing composition, nicely done.

personally i think i might have cropped a bit highter on the right, but as you said, you wanted one in the middle.
