He seems so contemplative. I love the man in this shot, but the circus tent in the background is a little distracting.

Overall I think this is a great shot, full of expression and mood. It transports you to the scene, and you can almost sense what he is thinking. My only quibble is with the location of the pole, but I know that one can't get around these things sometimes.

At first I thought he was looking out a window. Then I realized he must be setting under a canopy.

Very nice. A strong blend of the the two foci... the man/table area and the peripheral aspect of the town/carnival area. My only minor suggestion is I wish the amount of shade could be tweaked to brighten up the man/table area just a little bit.

@everyone : Thanks again for all your feed-backs and support !!@Hummingbird : this was shot in Marseille, France - where I live - after a walk with some friends we stopped on a terrace to drink a coffee and I saw this man with it's only "best friend" (a beer) that standed a long time in this inside meditative position : beautiful !
@Lange : thank you, I only did minor color adjustments and a little vigneting - but I really agree with your suggestion ;-)
